Thesis: Techno, Beyond Sound
This thesis delves into the rich and evolving world of techno music — from its underground roots in
Detroit to its cultural emergence in Berlin and its global diffusion. As part of my degree completion, I
was responsible for the layout design, photo editing, and a portion of the writing. Beyond academic
research, this project allowed me to merge my skills in editorial design, visual storytelling, and image
treatment to create a cohesive and immersive publication. The thesis highlights the sociocultural
evolution of techno, its visual aesthetic, its impact on club culture, and the way it fuses with
contemporary visual arts.
